KSI Freight tractors and 53-foot trailers staged on the Riverside yard for drop trailer service

Drop trailer programsand trailer pools in Southern California

Drop-and-hook service from an asset-based carrier in Riverside, CA, with dedicated trailer pools across the Inland Empire and the I‑15 corridor.

Why shippers choose a KSI drop trailer program

A KSI drop trailer program parks empty 53' trailers at your dock before you need them. You load at your own pace; we swap loaded for empty in minutes. For high-volume shippers from the Inland Empire to Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Sacramento, it's the fastest way to cut dwell, detention and dock labor.

We own our trailers, so your pool is committed long term.

  • Load when it suits you

Fill trailers across shifts or overnight. No appointments, no waiting drivers.

  • Eliminate detention

Drop-and-hook swaps take minutes, not the hours a live load can.

  • Buffer your supply chain

Preloaded trailers absorb surges and late loads.

  • Fewer dock doors tied up

One door, continuous flow. Your staff works product, not trucks.

  • Tracked like every KSI load

GPS on every pool trailer: staged, loaded or en route.

Drop trailer programs only work when the carrier has trailers nearby and trucks that keep cycling. KSI has both.

  • A yard near your dock

Our Riverside yard sits in the Inland Empire's warehouse belt, a short run from Riverside, San Bernardino, Ontario, Fontana and Moreno Valley.

  • Pools at destination too

Yards near your consignees stage trailers, so they unload on their schedule.

  • Dense, daily cycles

Our tractors run the I‑15 and I‑5 every day, so pool trailers to Las Vegas or Sacramento turn around fast. That keeps a pool affordable.

How a drop trailer program works

  1. Lane and volume review

We size the pool to your volume, dock hours and consignees.

  2. Pool deployment

We place empty trailers at your dock, and at destination if needed.

  3. Load on your schedule

Load and seal, then tell us by email or EDI.

  4. Swap and go

A driver swaps empty for loaded, usually in minutes.

  5. Delivery and reset

We deliver, cycle the empty back and refill the pool.

  • Anyone paying detention on 3-hour live loads
